IEEE CloudNet'15 Student Travel Grants

Apply here >> by October 3rd.

Student Travel Grants (STG) will be awarded jointly by  IEEE ComSoc and the CloudNet 2015 Organizing Committee to students who registered, co-authored an presented papers in CloudNet 2015, on competition basis.

To be eligible for one of the STGs, the applicant must satisfy all of the following requirements:
    - be an author or co-author and presenter of an accepted (and registered) paper;
    - be a full-time student registered toward a Bachelors, Masters or Ph. D degree in engineering, computer science or related field in a college or university when submitting the application and must not receive funding for attending the conference from other sources;
    - be student member of ComSoc
    - must attend the conference in person. Payment will only be made to the student as long as the award recipient submits the expense report (with receipts) within 45 days after the conference. More details will be provided to the students who are selected to receive the STG award.

The STG can be used to cover student travel expenses related to attending CloudNet, such as registration fee, airline ticket, and hotel accommodation expenses. The application should state his/her ComSoc student membership number, why he/she wants to attend CloudNet and how he/she would benefit from the conference. This description should be kept to a page maximum and uploaded through EDAS (https://edas.info/G.php?g=498). The advisor of the student must also submit an advisor’s recommendation that states the research area of the student, what degree he/she is completing, and how the student stands out amongst his/her peers. Upon reception of the application from the student, the advisor will receive an invitation from EDAS to submit the recommendation. It is important that both the student and advisor motivate the application with regards to the technical objectives of CloudNet and the research work of the applicant.
